What a fabulous Fun Day - the lovely baked goods from The DMK Bake off by Megan & Sarah, delicious International Food by Jam & Sunee, drinks for both adults and kids, BBQ, Crown Relocations' amazing carton maze, Messy Play, British School of Art, studio quality photos by High Jump Photography, Dragon Age castle by Jumping Castle, Face Painting and Balloon Art by MS Balloons, Fun-filled carnival games by Nicole, Marble painting by Sophie, Treasure Hunt by Claire, DMK Kids Concert by Mychelle and great shopping experience at the vendors stands.

BAKE OFF COMPETITION

The Bake Off competition is the first of its kind in Discovery Bay and we are asking all of you budding bakers out there to enter! This is fun event for everyone so please have a go!  There are 2 categories

1.  Large decorated cakes - theme - Summer!

2.  Baking with the kids - cupcakes/ cookies

Please submit your entries from 3 - 3.30 pm on the day.  We will judge the competition and announce winners during the event. Prizes awarded for 1st and 2nd place in both categories.  We will then sell off all entries.

Dear Parents

After a very informative and helpful seminar about Communication with young children last year, the DMK PTA is sponsoring another talk by Marie Marchand. This year she will be discussing behavior in young children, offering insight and useful tips on how to prevent negative behavior and how to deal with it when it occurs.

The seminar will be held at the Kindergarten, Coastline on Saturday 16^th March from 9.30-11.30am.

The seminar last year was very popular and there are only a limited number of places available due to safety regulations at the school. As such, places will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

If you would like to attend the seminar please send an e-mail to the PTA account- pta.dmk@gmail.com, with the subject headed as Marie Marchand, stating your name and your child’s class. Any further communication about this event will be done by e-mail.

Jack & the Beanstalk

The performance held on Saturday 23rd February was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and attended on the day- everyone including the Chunky Onion cast had lots of fun.

Marie Marchand - Behaviour Management seminar.

After a very informative and helpful seminar last year, the DMK PTA has asked Marie Marchand to come back and this time hold a seminar on early childhood behavior. This will include tips on how to prevent negative behavior and how to deal with it when it does happen.

This will be a PTA sponsored event and so free to DMK families. Look out for more information on this blog and in letters pack at the beginning of March.

We have yesterday spotted Jack and his mom walking around here in Discovery Bay - what can they be doing here?  It appears that Jack has to bring Daisy to the market ....... what will he get in return.......?  Well, our kids at DMK appeared to have had lots of fun interacting with them.

After our successful PTA sponsored seminar with Marie Marchand last February many parents asked for information about her multiple session seminars. As such Marie has been back in contact with the DMK PTA and asked us to pass on the following information.
